Celebrate Family and Community Registry

Celebrate Family and Friends is a site where friends of FamilySOS.org may celebrate events such as Births, Birthdays, Anniversaries, or Sunset Year Events in the life of their family or friends

Our society is dynamic, not static, and imposes upon us business and achievement.  We all know that despite the busy-ness about us, there is something that is eternally true about life.  It is the value of family and community. 

Without the passing of values and stories from one generation to the next, the celebration of the human spirit is lost, and with it, the mystery of life itself.  Life offers a few limited occasions for family celebration.  These are usually known as the “rites of passage.”

There is birth, the coming of age, marriage, anniversaries, and finally death. Each event offers an opportunity for family remembrances.

We strongly support family, and we believe in recognizing the “rites of passage” within the family which add to the stories and values of life itself. One of the best ways to accomplish this is with storytelling and best wishes. We dedicate this page to those who wish to keep the stories of their family alive and pass on family values from generation to generation. We will establish a page telling your story celebrating a family events and your friends may contribute their well wishes. 

The site covers the entire US and is calculated by quartering the US into four sections.

North East - Minnesota to Maine
South East - Missouri to Florida
North West - N. Dakota to Washington
South West - Texas to California

If you wish to celebrate an event in the life of your relative/friend

1. Tell them you are planning a surprise
2. They should have an e-mail address or access to someone’s computer (so they can view the page) and agree to being sponsored in the Community Register
3. Ask them for some pictures
4. Get the e-mail address of 4 or 5 of their friends (more is OK)
5. Mail or e-mail the information to us
6. We will create a site; you will request your friends to send congratulations to our e-mail address for the special event
7. In the event of a birth, we will also post the baby’s pictures
8. E-mail addresses will be kept strictly confidential - but well wishing and congratulation messages will be posted to the site as surprises to form a part of the celebration event
9. The family information will be found in the section of the nation where they live
