A Little Good News about Kidnappings

Each year 200 to 300 kids are abducted in kidnappings and murdered or held for $$.

BUT

Kidnappings are down!  This year it is anticipated to drop to 100. Parents or friends perpetuate more than 98% of all kidnappings according to the Department of Justice.  In 94% of the kidnappings, kids are returned to parents.  The scarry part of kidnappings is the anger and violence and sexual assault against the small children who end up among the small number like the Van Damm and Runnion girls.  Here is another ugly fact.  If an abductor plans to kill his prey, he usually performs the act within the 1st 3 or 4 hours.  For more details on the Anger and Violence prevalent in our society, see the article "Factors Contributing to Anger, Violence, and Terrorism."
