Terrorism (chemical, biological, or nuclear) is clearly one of the issues on the minds of most Americans today. There are, of course, the worlds of outward attack and inward attack. Inward attack being those decisions which we make affecting us physically or emotionally.
In short, whether outward or inward, there is a resultant loss of personal freedom. The drug deluge has so invaded all of society so that one time or another we have all been personally affected. The personal addiction of (drugs, alcohol) often lead to incarceration, treatment facility or, at worst, the demise of the victim.
Needless to say, it is sad - devastatingly sad to see loved ones locked in the grips of a vice from which they cannot break free and to witness that even the power of choice has been destroyed.
DeCoster's Kids is dedicated to approaching the issues of drug use before kids get hung on life threatening addictions. Our message is "Dare to be all you can be but be it drug free."
Everyone knows that getting the attention of youth, or for that matter, adults, today is difficult. Youth generally watch TV more hours per week than they attend school. Constant bombardment by the media preconditions the calloused avoidance of some of the most crucial issues of life. Advertisers generally figure that a person must be subjected to three or four of the same spots before the mind begins to recognize the message.
We have discovered that messages get through rapidly to youth when they are offered at the right frequency. Our whole program is at the right frequency featuring the right models. Our models are at the top of the sports field on top of the finest bikes. Our models are more than champions on the dirt, they are personally committed to clean drug free living.
There is more excitement in life than being on top of your game "on the dirt." It is being on top of your game "in life." We live in an action packed society and our program is action packed - the right frequency for youth.
Our business is to assist and challenge our nation, our schools and our youth to get on top of their game and be drug free.
FamilySOS is a group of dedicated professionals who provide assistance to the family. Once your child has made a decision to be drug free, FamilySOS.org will offer a monthly e-mail of the latest family news and aids to help your child keep his/her pledge to be drug free.
