We believe that a major role of the family is to Discover and Develop the natural talents given to children. There are dozens of natural talents not directly related to the Intelligence Quotients of reading or math.
Examples might be eye hand
coordination, athletic ability, art, or in some cases, music or the ability of tonal memory.
A personal friend of FamilySOS had
difficulty with school but began playing piano almost as soon as he could walk.
He graduated from the Naval Academy of Music and has been on music tour for many years. He can perform in any style, i.e. classical: Bach, Wagner, jazz, pop, etc. and has such a natural gift for music so that if he hears a piece of music performed once, he can reproduce it from memory.
We feature young people who have
natural gifts. Music and art are obvious. You may know of other youth who demonstrate outstanding ability, not only in music or art. If so, E-mail us so that we may feature them on our site.
